The wedding is over! All of the meticulous planning and attention to tiny details have all paid off. Now you can sit back, relax and enjoy a well-deserved vacation. You and your spouse can finally spend some quality time together in exotic destinations that you have dreamed about over the past year. Things to consider are your travel agent, tropical destinations, cool destinations, cultural destinations, adventure travel, cruises, price, and last minute tips.
Travel Agent. Gone are the days where you pick up a newspaper and book a return flight yourself. Your travel agent can double up as your honeymoon consultant, giving you tips about certain destinations and new ideas that you never even thought of. Your dreams of where you want to go and what you want to do are all put together in a nice package custom made for you. Travel agents have access to a system of airline and hotel bookings worldwide and may even get special rates at certain destinations.
A good travel agent is an attentive listener, will address your concerns, will be honest and upfront about your destination choices, and may even deliver your tickets. Cool Destinations. Many couples like the idea of spending their time skiing or tobogganing, especially if they are from a place where snow is scarce. Perhaps India is a good destination since it has beaches, luxury hotels, adventure and culture all mixed in.
European countries are also very popular since you can visit more than one country during your visit. There are some great travel packages available throughout Europe where you can choose your destinations. This is a great way to see a lot in a very little amount of time.
Adventure Travel. Some couples actively seeking thrills want something a bit more adventurous. A trip to the Amazon, an African Safari or backpacking through South America or Australia may entice you with the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Ensure that you have the proper medical insurance when travelling to overseas destinations.
Cruise. You may want to have all of the above in one package. A cruise can provide exciting activities, great food, lavish entertainment and breathtaking scenery while visiting many destinations and the bonus is that you only have to unpack once. Price. Consider the cost of going to far away destinations. Airfare, accommodations and spending money should all be accounted for. However, if you are not going to such an exotic place for years to come, you may want to budget for your honeymoon because you will never have this special time back.
Last Minute Tips. To help make your trip go as smoothly as possible, here are a few tips:
